FANTASY AND IMAGINATION alter ego.

on this workshop notes we will time in on what is real and what is not real. Why? because as artists of the art of Ventriloquism we want to become masters of the art, let me begin here..today we have very skillful voice animators that I see every day that don’t look like what they sound like, these days the phone is used for more than just talking such as taking photos and listening to music. Skillful voice animators or voice actors can change their voice to any age group such as an adult creating the voice of a child, doing this over the phone is the world of fantasy to a listener on the other end of the phone, to create a greater illusion  the voice magician or voice animator produces a photo for the listener creating imagination. what is fantasy? fantasy is a physical imagination, what is imagination? imagination is mentally.. on Halloween Day we can dress up as anyone we imagine to be creating the fantasy world on Halloween Day. when does the alter ego arrive? The alter ego arrives when the imagination and fantasy is combined to create the illusion of life, meaning the day of Halloween is everyday. making someone believe you’re someone you’re not over the phone is one thing but creating the illusion of life in the real world for real world purposes is another thing. a alter ego for a Ventriloquist can be a very good thing such as Charlie McCarthy was to Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen, in a interview Ventriloquist Edgar Bergen said he wished he was like Charlie McCarthy where he could walk in to a room and the room would light up, meaning Charlie McCarthy was welcomed where ever he went. Charlie McCarthy was Edgar Bergen alter ego for most of Edgar Bergen life.. some alter egos are hidden within a person, such as a personality change when a certain person come around and for an example your friend Paul says to you, Everytime Mary come around you start acting like a tough guy and you’re not a tough guy or for an another example your friend says Lisa you’re married why do you dress so sexy at the work place. in some situations our behavior in the real world were created in an imaginary world bring it out into the fantasy world, this is why Lisa doesn’t understand why she is not being treated like a married woman at the work place, this is why your friend Paul keep bailing you out of jail…Be it voice animators, be it alter egos, be careful what you create in the real world because trust and believe me you can’t put the genie back into the bottle.
